Neurofeedback is non-invasive training process for your brain. Our system includes an advanced neurofeedback system coupled with photic stimulation technology to enhance the neurofeedback benefits. Research has shown that combining traditional neurofeedback with pulsing lights results in more accurate detection of abnormal brainwave activities and thus, better results.

The NeuroIntegration/Neurofeedback therapy Pristine Wellness provides is unique to each client. Unlike many providers, we do not use canned protocols in our neurofeedback sessions for our Steamboat Springs clients. We use a custom brain map or qEEG tailored to each person to determine which areas of the brain are under or over performing. Sensors contained in a cap placed on the client’s head measure electrical impulses which our proprietary software converts into a neuro map. This neuro map then serves two purposes: it is the primary tool used by the NeuroIntegration software to deliver therapy, and it also becomes the benchmark to measure results.

After mapping, clients usually go through 10 therapy sessions before a second neuro map is created although this varies by client. Similar to the mapping process, these sessions are non-invasive and consist of placing several small electrodes on the head to monitor brain activity while the client watches a movie. Our neurofeedback software analyzes the incoming brain waves and, when they deviate from optimal, the software triggers a fade or pause in the audio or video. The brain immediately detects this and adjusts. This occurs hundreds of times per session. So, over a series of sessions, the brain learns to stay in optimal ranges which in turn, can have a positive impact on a variety of issues.

The number of sessions will depend on the individual – much like going to the gym, every person requires a different length of time to see results. 30-40 sessions is normal for many conditions to improve, and some people may need more.
